Bio
Helene Wassa is passionate about education and committed to providing high-quality tutoring services. With a BS in General Physics and a minor in Applied and Computational Mathematics from UMass Lowell (2023), along with an 2019 Associate's in mathematics from Middlesex Community College, and extensive experience in the Spanish language after excelling in her formal study of Spanish 1 through 5 in high school, Helene understands the challenges students face. Her mission is to empower learners through effective tutoring.
Tutoring Expertise
- Helene worked as the teaching assistant for ordinary differential equations for the Fall 2018 and Spring 2019 semesters, and for non-calculus physics for the Spring 2019 semester at Middlesex Community College in Bedford. She also tutored math and physics in the school's Tutoring Center, and tutored remedial math for adults at MCC Lowell during that time. At UMass Lowell, she tutored MATLAB in Spring 2020. Around that time she attained a Level 3 CRLA Certification, the highest level of certification offered by the College Reading and Learning Association.
